A Small Accomplishment of an Unaccomplished Seamstress

I'm making myself a new spring dress!
I wanted to have a dress that I could wear to my piano recital and our spring English Country homeschool dance, but it is close to impossible to find a modest, reasonably priced, and cute dress at your typical clothing stores, so I got brave, and decided to attempt my own.
Guess what? I couldn't even find a pattern that was modest and flattering, by Simplicty or Mcalls anyway.
So I found a cute pattern with a modest top, and a cute pattern with a full skirt, and am attempting to marry the two. So far, so good.
Found some adorable fabric at my favorite store -Hobby Lobby!
Here is what I have so far, but it's kind-of hard to tell, because the bodice and skirt aren't attached yet, but you get the idea.
When I have it done, I'll show it to you, but until then- you are the witnesses - I can sew!

I love those dress patterns! I also think that your dress looks surprisingly awesome. (As a side note, my friends and I love Sanctus Real and Tenth Avenue North since I found your blog[which we enjoy as well].)

God bless.

Hey BethJoy!
That is SO cool you are going to make a dress! I LOVE Hobby-Lobby too! They have awesome stuff there!
I know you will do good on sewing yourself a dress :) I sure couldn't do that =D But my sister is pretty good at sewing, she has made a lot of doll dresses and she wants to sew herself a dress soon =)

Hey BethJoy!
Just wanted to say that I've been REALLY enjoying your blog and I feel VERY at home on your blog! Your blog is a lot like mine that is why I feel at home on here! :)
Like all the horse pictures and your template is a lot like one I would pick!:)

I wish you could teach me how to draw horses like you do! You draw SO good! I try to draw horses but they don't turn out the best :(

You know I almost wish we could meet in person :) Not just through blogging :) Wouldn't that be cool!!
Did you draw the horse as your header? Because that is REALLY good! How long have you been drawing horses? I've been drawing horses since I can remember :)

I just thought I would tell you that :)
